Getting the maximum earnings in months with less intense sunlight, on cloudy days or even in the early morning and evening hours, requires an inverter that must be able to quickly and precisely react to the smallest weather changes and also be able to operate efficiently, reliably and uninterrupted. To achieve this goal, the Fronius R & D department started with the proven Fronius IG series and looked for ways to apply new solutions and innovative ideas in many areas. Fronius IG Plus V inverters offer high efficiency, intelligent thermal management, light weight and easy installation. The Fronius IG Plus can be installed both inside and out.
- Designed for indoor and outdoor installations: All Fronius IG Plus inverters have a robust, well designed aluminum housing. UV resistance and corrosion protection enable them to be used either indoors or outdoors. (Mount in shaded area)
- Fronius is proud to be one of the only inverters tested and approved to operate at 122° F.
- Integrated DC disconnect: No external DC disconnect installation or cabling is necessary. The Fronius IG Plus comes complete with an approved, built-in, lockable and load breakable DC Disconnect.
- Power plug system: The connection area and power stages are installed separately from each other. Very easy and extremely safe: The connection area is attached to the wall as normal. Then the power module is simply plugged in. The power plug connects both parts into one secure unit. If service is required, the connector remains on the wall maintaining all settings and configurations
Because of its wide input voltage range of 230V to 600V, it is well-suited for use in numerous solar systems. The inverters' integrated LCD displays and records over 20 inverter and system operation parameters. All Fronius IG Plus V inverters include a lockable code-compliant DC disconnect with a built-in 6-circuit fused string. The internal string combiner can accept fuses up to 20 A per circuit. Fronius inverters have 3 expansion slots to add external sensors, remote displays or other options. Inverter firmware upgrades can be made using a PC or laptop. The 5 kW and larger inverters have multiple power stages that can inactivate during periods of low insolation to maximize efficiency and energy harvest. To complete the package, Blue Pacific Solar's team of designers have packaged this 12,240 watt kit to make it easy for you to buy and with the custom line diagram that comes with the kit, have mad it easy to install. Blue Pacific Solar has provided all of the main parts you will need for your 12240W solar kit. You will need to add our optional roof or ground rack package or supply your own. Here are some additional items that your may need from your local hardware store prior to installing your package. Conduit, appropriately sized electrical wire from the array (sizing provided in line drawing), 1 240VAC breaker, fuses for inverter, some fasteners and combiner at the array.

Fronius is headquartered in Pettenbach Austria and has been a key manufacturer of photovoltaic electronics since 1992, particularly in the engineering and manufacturing of photovoltaic inverters for both grid-connected and off-grid power supplies. Fronius was founded in 1945, and began manufacturing battery-charging systems shortly thereafter. They made a name for themselves with premium welding technology, especially in the automotive industry. Eventually, technology and engineering standards used in welding applications transferred over to the solar electronics market. Production facilities have always remained close to home, nestled at the foot of the Alps, in Sattledt, and Weis in northwestern Austria, along with production sites in the Czech Republic and Ukraine. A new state of the art facility opened early 2011 in Pettenbach, reaffirming the company’s commitment to the European union. The international experts at Fronius are establishing an assembly plant in Mississauga, Ontario. IMPORTANT INSTALLATION INFORMATION: It is the responsibility of the purchaser to ensure that all products are installed and operated in accordance with local and national building codes as specific by the NEC (National Electric Code), UBC (Uniform Building Code) or IBC (International Building Code) and local utility company policy. These codes may vary from city to city and county to county. All Grid-tied solar installations should be permitted and inspected, where required, by the local inspection authority in the same manner as other equivalent electrical systems. Blue Pacific Solar recommends you contract with a local licensed electrician to do the final electrical connection of your solar system from the AC disconnect to your home utility breaker box. Some local permitting authorities require that a licensed electrician do all the wiring from the rack to the utility interconnect. Additional Safety Instructions; Perform all electrical installations in accordance with all applicable local electrical codes and the National Electrical Code (NEC), ANSI/NFPA 70. Be aware that only qualified personnel should install or replace Fronius inverter. Connect the Fronius kit to the utility grid only after receiving prior approval from the electrical utility company. Do NOT disconnect the solar module from the Fronius inverter without first removing AC power.
