AC grid-interactive 2200 watt bimodal solar module with batteries produces up to 333 Kilowatts per month. Monthly output based on 5 hrs sun a day (STC).

Prepackaged solar module has 12 powerful 185 watt solar panels, batteries and inverter which comes ready to provide clean AC power. Bimodal means the system will operate on or off-grid automatically. If you are looking for serious emergency backup power this is a cheap way to help you sleep better at night. Unlike traditional solar, you have the flexibility to install this 2200 watt grid-interactive solar systems on the ground and on virtually any surface.  The complete prepackaged solar units, called “SunPods”, are delivered by truck and lowered into place with minimal on-site construction required. 333 kW per month based on 5 sun hrs per day STC.

Bimodal solar systems are grid interactive solar with a battery backup system. The Bimodal solar system can operate in either utility-interactive or stand-alone mode. The key component in a bimodal system is the inverter, which draws DC power from the battery system instead of the array. In this case, the array acts as a charging source for the battery system.

An extra breaker panel, referred to as a sub panel, is installed. The sub panel feeds the loads you need even when the grid goes down (essential or "critical" loads). While the grid is up, the sub panel is fed through inverter from the grid. When the grid goes down, the sub panel is fed through the inverter from the batteries. This switchover is handled automatically by the inverter. The batteries are kept charged from the solar panels (through the charge controller) and from the grid (through the inverter, as it contains a charger too.)

• 1 SMA Sunny Island S4248 US (Or Equal) 120 volt AC with built in Charge Controller. SMA Sunny Island battery inverters especially suitable for small and mid-sized stand-alone grids. The inverters guarantee a reliable and high-quality power supply. Due to their outstanding overload capabilities and that they are designed to withstand high ambient temperatures, this line can be used under extreme weather conditions.
• Outback PSX-240 Auto Transformer (Or Equal) Step up/down transformer 240/120
• 1 NEMA 3 100A rated Subpanel (By Owner (Not Included but needed to isolate critical power loads))
• 8 MK Deep Cycle Sealed AGM Solar batteries (Or Equal) 210aH each 48v bank (10,080 watts). Advanced American Technology and the use of them most modern computer-aided design and manufacturing techniques combine to make MK Battery's Sealed AGM batteries the standard by which all other AGM batteries are measured.
• General Description - grid-interactive solar modular power units (SunPods) are factory built, pre-assembled, self-ballasted, ground-mount photovoltaic systems. The grid-interactive solar structural frames are built with heavy gauge cold rolled high tensile steel with an extremely durable G-90 galvanized finish. Structure frame components are bolted together with 7/16” (8.2 grade) galvanized steel bolts and nuts.
  1. Standard grid-interactive solar units are 20’-0” or 22’-2”-feet in length depending on solar module size and power output. The unit width is 9’-6” for both lengths. Standard grid-tied grid-interactive solar units’ weigh between 1,800 lbs to 2,100 lbs. grid-interactive systems weight varies depending on attached battery storage and accessories specified by the customer.
  2. The grid-interactive solar frame consists of three major sections: 1. grid-interactive solar power module has adjustable legs that are rated @2,500 lb each with a galvanized zinc finish. Each leg independently adjusts within a vertical range of 36” to accommodate uneven terrain. Footpads are made with 3-ga G-90 steel and footpad size varies from 12” x 12” up to 24” x 24” depending soil conditions at site. 2. Solar Module Support Rack The solar module support rack supports the solar modules.
  3. The solar modules are attached onto steel tracks forming a solid monolithic unit panel for added strength and stability. solar modules are firmly secured to the track with tamper proof fasteners. The solar angle for each unit is set at the factory according to the host site requirements submitted to Blue Pacific Solar by the customer prior to shipping. The solar angle onsite may require further adjustment to conform to site conditions. This can be achieved by adjusting the leg height of the grid-interactive solar power platform.
