8460 WATT SOLAR POD BALANCE OF SYSTEM COMPONENT UTILITY INTERCONNECTION - At the factory, the 8460 watt modules are pre-wired on each SunPods power unit into a single series string. Each individual SunPods single-string wiring system is delivered with the inverter placed on the SunPod ready to for customer field applied connectors to connect each SunPods to the remainder of the balance of system components. In most cases, the two power cables (+ / -) would be connected through customer supplied conduit to the solar inverter using standard wiring diagrams. In some cases, customer connects customer furnished NEC rated and sized cables from the SunPods unit paired cables to the fuse box, combiner box or inverter. Customer can utilize the SunPod frame to carry the cable and conduit across multiple SunPods units to fuse box, junction box and inverters to reduce trenching. Local building code officials should be consulted prior to permitting to determine if power cables from the solar array to the inverter requires an interim disconnect or can be connected directly to the inverter.
