extreme battery kit inverter power laptop ipad 12v dc 110v ac converter portable battery charger off-grid camping emergency charging solutions
Extreme Battery Kit was selected for sale by our team of Solar Energy Consultants because wrapped up in one package is serious off-grid portable power with an AC or 12V DC power inverter. A common question we get here at Blue Pacific Solar is how long will this portable battery power my iPad or laptop computer. To calculate the extended time the Extreme Battery Kit will power your iPad or laptop you need to begin with the wattage of the unit. For this example we will use the iPad first. Apple iPad, like most portable electronic gadgets are rated with wattage.
Apple iPad specifications state that the iPad has a 25 watt hour battery that will provide up to 10 hours of surfing the web or the iPad uses 2.5 watts of power per hour. The extreme battery has 350 watts of power which means the iPad should run for an additional 140 hours, right? We theoretically yes, but in the real world performance of batteries never work exactly like the theory. The real world iPad run time with the Extreme Battery kit is closer to an additional 126 hours of extended run time for the iPad depending on if you are surfing the web and playing music at the same time.
The run time of a laptop computer would work in much the same way with the Extreme Battery Kit except most laptops draw between 40 and 50 watts per hour, but check your laptop specifications. Depending on the laptop power draw, you can get about 8 hours of additional usage. What this all means to you that if you are off-grid at home with a power outage and need backup emergency power or at a remote location such as a campsite, the Extreme Battery Kit is a good choice to keep your important electronic devices powered up. This portable battery with DC / AC converter will give you the flexibility to power your iPad, laptop and will keep you productive anytime and anywhere.
The Extreme Battery Kit stores 350 watts of battery power and allows you to daisy chain up to four batteries for a total of 1400 watts of stored energy. However, we recommend that before you add batteries, you consider adding either the Boulder 30 watt solar panel or the Nomad flexible 27 watt portable solar panel. Both solar panels are a dependable off-grid power supply for your Extreme Battery Kit with Inverter.
